Winter Storm Crashes and Highway Accident

The following information about recent local police incidents was supplied by the Norton Police Department. An arrest and/or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Jan. 2:

12:01 a.m. - Reservoir St.

A caller reported a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, police reported a car struck a pole causing superficial damage. The driver denied injury. The car was towed and the driver was transported home by police.

2:23 p.m. - Reservoir St.

Police responded to a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. The car was on it's side upon arrival. The road was shut down. One person was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

2:40 p.m. - Oak St.

Police responded to a vehicle that had struck a tree. The vehicle had four occupants. No injuries were sustained.

3:05 p.m. - Oak St.

Police responded to a two-car motor vehicle crash on Oak St. No injuries were sustained.

Jan. 3

9:13 a.m. - 495 North

Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 495. The caller said she hit a barrier and hurt her head. She was located in the high speed lane on the highway. One person was transported to Sturdy
