Vandalism in Norton Police Log: Oct. 13 - 14

The following information was supplied by Norton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, Oct. 13
6:17 a.m.: Mansfield Avenue, assisted Norton Fire Department. Caller reports her 48-year-old husband is seizing.  Caller reports husband has come out of seizure unconscious at this time. Transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.
1:01 p.m.: W. Main Street, suspicious condition. Caller request a log note for a suspicious male. Approximately 10 minutes ago a 12-year-old boy was approached by a white male with a black knit cap, gray sweatshirt driving a small brown compact car who asked the boy "want a ride home brother?" The boy called his mother and she came and picked him up. Male did go inside Dunkin Donuts. Caller is an off duty detective from Foxboro and wanted us to be aware of it since they have had issues in their town with a male recently who may match this description. Detective Franco reports that male is on the camera.
2:15 p.m.: W. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. Walk-in reporting her vehicle got sideswiped at the middle school.
4:15 p.m.: E. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. Caller reports an SUV, possibly a Jeep, hit some construction barrels then drove off to the side of the road. Vehicle then left toward the center. Six barrels damaged.
6:16 p.m.: W. Main Street, general disturbance. Caller reports her ex, who she has a harassment order against, backed his vehicle into hers, causing damage.
6:37 p.m.: Wilbur Terrace, general disturbance. Caller reporting a past verbal assault by former tenants that occurred at Alberto's. Caller will be coming into the station.
6:40 p.m.: W. Main Street. Police arrested James E. Guerrini, 44, of W. Main Street, Attleboro, and charged him with assault and battery and violation of a harassment protection order.
7:00 p.m.: Mansfield Avenue, harassment/threats.
10:41 p.m.: S. Washington Street, vandalism. Caller reports a male and female have vandalized the work sight to the rear of the building. Caller reports the male and female are residing in a tent in the woods and are accusing the workers of theft. Sergeant Goodwin reports party has been advised and they are now off the property.  

Sunday, Oct. 14
3:40 a.m.: E. Main Street, suspicious condition. Caller reports a group of approximately seven to nine kids just jumped in front of his vehicle while driving through the center of town.  Patrolman Winters reports a large group of Wheaton students have been advised and will be going back to their dorms.
7:06 a.m.: Freeman Street, general services. Caller from Gary Road reports water gushing about 10 feet high on Freeman Street, unsure if its a hydrant or water main break. Area search negative.
7:12 a.m.: Freeman Street, vandalism. Two damaged mailboxes.
11:16 a.m.: Mansfield Avenue, motor vehicle accident. Caller reports two-car accident.
11:53 a.m.: Power Street, vandalism. Caller reports son’s bedroom window was egged over night. The shed may have been entered as the doors were found open. Kids are checking to see if anything is missing and her sons windows were the only windows egged.
2:01 p.m.: Kybren Circle, Mansfield, assisted Mansfield Police Department with domestic dispute.
5:55 p.m.: Garrett Drive, general disturbance. Caller reports her daughter needs to be removed from the premises, and she is requesting police assistance. Individual is leaving the property.  She has been served a trespass order.
8:33 p.m.: S. Worcester Street, suspicious condition. Patrolman Schleicher reports car is driving on tracks at Barrowsville station, heading towards Attleboro. Patrolman Schleicher reports no sign of car, they must have exited the tracks.
9:01 p.m.: E. Main St., assisted another agency. A 17-year-old walk-in reported a rape that occurred in the city of Brockton on Oct. 12. Reporting party was with her father, and they were advised to report the incident to the Brockton Police Department. Sergeant Goodwin notified the Brockton Police Department of the situation.
9:11 p.m.: S. Worcester Street, suspicious condition. Patrolman Schepis off at the train tracks with a green Dodge pick-up for driving on the tracks. Schepis reports subjects check and were advised. Citation issued to operator for junior operator violation.
10:11 p.m.: Clapp Street. Police arrested Corey McCauley, 23, of School Street, Rockland, and charged him with breaking and entering of a building at night time, defacing property and breaking and entering of a vehicle in the day time.
