Underage Party, Leaving Scene of an Accident and Gunshots Reported

The following information about recent local police incidents was supplied by the Norton Police Department. An arrest and/or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Dec. 1:

1:42 a.m. - Richardson Ave.

A caller reported she picked up her 17-year-old daughter from a party who was highly intoxicated. She reported no parents were home and many other underage kids were still there.

Police obtained information from the occupants at the house and contacted the parents of all of the minors. Police stood by until everyone was picked up. The two who lived at the residence stayed there and their parents were notified and advised.

Dec. 2

7:27 a.m. - King Philip Road

A caller reported a fire hydrant near his house had been knocked over. The driver had driven away. The water department was advised.

10:18 a.m. - S. Washington St.

A caller reported gunshot sounds coming from across the street or to the left of her residence. Police responded and saw no vehicles on the road and heard no gunshots. An area search was negative.

Dec. 3

3:34 p.m. - Mansfield Avenue

Police responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident. One vehicle had struck a pole. No injuries were reported. National Grid was notified.
