Town Common Display Vandalized in Norton Police Log: Dec. 11 - 14

The following information was supplied by Norton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Dec. 11
6:33 a.m.: Plain Street, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Caller reports his unlocked truck was broken into last night. Wallet, change and miscellaneous items were taken. Caller reports he does not wish to see an officer. He will cancel cards inside.
8:24 a.m.: W. Main Street, breaking and entering of a building. Caller reports the Christmas Tree area was broken into last night. The window to the shed is smashed and the cash register is on the ground. Extra patrols requested.
9:45 a.m.: Sunhill Road, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Vehicles were rummaged through, car doors were unlocked, nothing was stolen. She requests extra patrols no officer wanted.
11:14 a.m.: Godfrey Drive, fraud/embezzlement. Walk-in reporting fraud of his American Express card and his bank account.
11:17 a.m.: Mansfield Avenue, trespassing. Walk-in reporting a trespass that was served.
12:15 p.m.: W. Main Street, suspicious condition. Male subject walking in the middle of traffic and standing in middle of the road. Subject advised.
1:18 p.m.: Peter Street, field investigation. Caller reported illegal dumping.
1:52 p.m.: Village Way, suspicious condition. Caller reports that someone may have tried to break into her house a short time ago. Subject spoken to and advised to call if she sees subject in area again.
3:04 p.m.: Morse Drive, burglar alarm. Homeowner doesn't believe anything is missing. Unknown why the door was open, it shouldn't have been.
3:18 p.m.: Walter Street, larceny. Caller reports there was a UPS package delivered to his residence but was not there when he arrived home.
6:00 p.m.: E. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. Vehicle has smoke coming from it. Fluid leak. One patient extricated and is on the stretcher being prepared for transport. Vehicles have been removed

Wednesday, Dec. 12
2:43 a.m.: E. Main Street, assisted Wheaton Public Safety for a breaking and entering. Both subjects believed to be students.
3:10 a.m.: E. Main Street. Police arrested Ryan Benjamin Clinesmith, 20, of New York, N.Y. and charged him with breaking and entering.  
5:45 a.m.: Perry Street, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Change and papers
from her visor were taken. Doors were locked, appears something was used to pry the door.
7:49 a.m.: Massasoit Avenue, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Caller reports someone went through unlocked vehicle overnight and took about $4 in change and a hat.
8:43 a.m.: Briggs Street, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Loose change taken from unlocked vehicle overnight.
9:59 a.m.: Massasoit Avenue, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Caller reports two unlocked vehicles were gone through overnight. It doesn't appear that anything was taken.
11:41 a.m.: E. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. Caller reports a vehicle was struck in the lot. Striking vehicle left the lot, no description on the striking vehicle. Front bumper and driver’s side fender damage. 
1:15 p.m.: John Scott Boulevard, harassment/threats. Caller reports his daughter received some harassing and threatening text messages.
1:31 p.m.: Oak Street, motor vehicle accident. Transport to hospital.
1:48 p.m.: Burt Street, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Change taken.
2:06 p.m.: Old Colony Road, breaking and entering of a building. Access was not gained but rear door was damaged. Extra patrols requested.
2:08 p.m.: S. Worcester Street, motor vehicle accident. No damage.
4:26 p.m.: Plain Street, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Walk-in reporting two unsecured vehicles on his property had change taken from them.
5:13 p.m.: Old Colony Road, motor vehicle accident. Caller reports two-car motor vehicle accident. Transport to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.
6:03 p.m.: Bay Road, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Caller reports that his unsecured vehicle was broken into last night, and approximately $20 in quarters were taken.

Thursday, Dec. 13
2:06 a.m.: West Street, Mansfield. Matron requested.
9:08 a.m.: Mansfield Avenue, larceny. Walk-in reporting item that was dropped off by UPS and stolen.
3:33 p.m.: Taunton Avenue, motor vehicle accident. Wrecker has both vehicles, road is open.
9:16 p.m.: Barrows Street, harassment/threats. Reporting party requests officer for past harassment from her sister.

Friday, Dec. 14
8:17 a.m.: Burt Street, general disturbance. Caller reports female party at residence that does not belong there. She states female does not pay rent and was given 60 day notice on lease in August. Sergeant Dennett reports they attempted to explain her options. She was not interested in that, became very belligerent and slammed the door.
8:19 a.m.: Buttermilk Way, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Caller reports his unlocked vehicle was entered last night. Two gift cards stolen.
8:26 a.m.: Burt Street, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Walk-in reporting her unlocked motor vehicle was entered last night.
4:09 p.m.: Norton Glen Road, vandalism. Walk-in reporting that his car was keyed with obscenities and threats.
