Shirtless Man, Motor Vehicle Accident, and Beer Bottle to the Head

The following information about recent local police incidents was supplied by the Norton Police Department. An arrest and/or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Oct. 3:

1:20 a.m. - Village Way

A caller reported that she left her residence and there was a man walking up and down the street with no shirt on. She just returned home and the subject is still walking up and down the street.

Police reported that the subject was abandoned by his girlfriend. The male was transported to his friends house by Norton PD.

Oct. 4:

4:19 p.m. - S. Lakeview Rd.

A caller reported a house alarm sounding at the end of the cul de sac. Police reported two vehicles in the driveway. They spoke with the homeowner and all units are clear.

7:16 p.m. - Newland St.

A caller reported a serious motor vehicle accident with the subject bleeding from the head. A motorcycle operator was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital and the state crime scene photographer responded.

7:54 p.m. - W. Main St.

A caller reported a male was struck over the head with a beer bottle at Downtown Cafe. She reports the male is bleeding and his friends stated they will take him to the hospital. She said a couple of patrons are holding the suspect.

Police responded and conducted witness interviews. One male was arrested.

Keavin Duffy, 59, of Taunton was arrested for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
