Sexual Offense, Stolen Medication in Norton Police Log: July 28 - 29

The following information was supplied by Norton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, July 28
7:33 a.m.: Lagoon Lane, breaking and entering of a residence. Caller reports that someone broke into her residence while she was sleeping. She states her purse has been taken. Patrolman found no signs of a breaking and entering. Reporting party called back and claims that the subject had a key.
3:30 p.m.: Lagoon Lane, sex offense. Walk-in reporting a sexual offense involving a child.
4:18 p.m.: Oak Street, general disturbance. Caller reports that his neighbor is shooting his gun and the bullets are landing on his property. Request officer to speak with neighbor. Both parties spoken to. Done shooting for the day. Current backstop looked appropriate, but they will try to work something out.
8:58 p.m.: W. Main Street, general services. Caller reports there is a limb down, partially blocking the road. Management company notified.
11:03 p.m.: Taunton Avenue, motor vehicle accident. Car versus church fence.
11:16 p.m.: Taunton Avenue. Police arrested Eric S. Charron, 27, of Highland St., Taunton, and charged him with negligent operation of a motor vehicle and operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor.

Sunday, July 29
12:59 a.m.: E. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. Caller reports car accident, possible injuries, car is tipped over. Pole is snapped, wires in roadway, will need immediate attention from National Grid. Transported to area hospitals. Road is back open to traffic.
4:11 p.m.: Mayflower Road, domestic disturbance.
4:18 p.m.: Norton Glen Road, larceny. Walk-in reporting stolen medication.
5:54 p.m.: Stephen Street, identity theft. Walk-in reports someone opened a credit card with his information, made a purchase and they paid thru paypal with it. Card company has been notified.
