Several Norton Residents Without Power Tuesday Afternoon

According to National Grid's outage map, power was restored by 5:20 p.m.

Some Norton residents were without power Tuesday afternoon.

Norton Police said in a statement that "several" Norton residents were without power beginning at 2:45 p.m. and National Grid was notified of the outages.

Update: As of 5:20 p.m., all power was restored, according to National Grid's outage map.

According to Police, "the only incident we are aware of is a branch falling on a power line on Oak Street in the area of the Norton Country Club."

The outages affected Norton Public Library, which was forced to close for the afternoon.
