Robbery, Breaking and Entering and Rock Throwing

The following information about recent local police incidents was supplied by the Norton Police Department. An arrest and/or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Aug. 19:

9:56 a.m. Old Colony Road
A store owner reported suspicious activity Friday night at closing time. She was concerned there may be another robbery attempt and requested extra patrols. Police advised that extra patrols would be on.

Aug. 20

12:13 p.m. p.m. West Main St.

A caller reported four males throwing rocks at her car and running into the golf course. The rock throwers were approximately 12 years old. Officers said they spoke with all parties involved and will be calling the parents of the individual responsible.

Aug. 21

5:37 a.m. Norton Glen Road

A caller reported a male outside an apartment complex screaming for over 20 minutes. The reported male is combative and threatening to fight everyone who asks him to be quiet.  Robert Blostrom was arrested for disturbing the peace.

3:31 p.m. West Main St.

Attleboro Police requested the transport of a male. Male was intoxicated when brought to the bus station. The male was brought into protective custody.

Aug. 22

2:10 p.m. West Main St.

Norton PD made two arrests for robbery. Samantha Dixon, 20 of Providence and Jonathan Torres-Hernandez, 21, of Providence were placed under arrest.

6:07 p.m.
A caller requested an officer to take a report of a missing tablet and Play Station 3. The caller reported the house was not broken into but his bedroom was possible entered through a window.
Under arrest was Craig Houghton, 21, of 23 Cobb St. for breaking and entering.
