Possible Intruder, Vandalism, and Scam

The following information about recent local police incidents was supplied by the Norton Police Department. An arrest and/or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Sept. 24:

4:06 a.m. - Reservoir St.

A caller reported hearing a door slam outside and when he looked outside he saw a dark colored Charger parked and a male wearing a dark hoodie walking into his yard. The caller states he armed his house alarm and the male got back in his vehicle and fled towards Norton. Police reported an area search was negative.

8:24 a.m. - N. Worcester St.

A caller reported her mailbox was missing and some of her neighbors were missing as well. Police confirm. A second caller reported the same thing.

Sept. 25

1:45 p.m. - Barberry Rd.

A Mansfield Police Officer requested an officer to Barberry Road for a suspicious male subject going behind a residence and a possible B&E. The subject had a grey shirt, blue jeans and cropped hair. Mansfield reported they were all set and all units were cleared.

4:28 p.m. - Mansfield Ave.

A caller reported she was contacted by a law office who told her she owed them money and they were coming to her house to collect. She called the law office they claimed to be from and was told someone is using their information to scam people.

The caller was advised to block the number and if anyone came to her house to notify police.

Sept. 26

10:58 p.m. - Mansfield Avenue

A motor vehicle was reported on Mansfield Avenue at Smith St. One person was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.
