Plastic Utensil Vandalism in Norton Police Log: Aug. 25 - 28

The following information was supplied by Norton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, Aug. 25
12:27 a.m.: Cobb/N. Washington Street, vandalism. Caller reports approximately 15 minutes prior to calling he had an altercation with two males. Subjects smashed out his vehicle window.  Caller reports subjects were at Cumberland Farms and followed him. Caller is now home. Patrolman Winters reports he is enroute to Cumberland Farms to speak with store clerk to attempt to see store video.
6:34 a.m.: Burt Street, vandalism. Caller reports overnight someone placed approximately 200 plastic forks on his front lawn last night. Caller reports takes up half of his lawn, requests officer to look at before he takes down. Extra patrols requested for the overnight hours. Patrolman Winters reports yes there were forks, knives, spoons and straws on the lawn.
9:33 a.m.: Dean Street, larceny. Caller requests officer for past breaking and entering to the garage. Reports several car parts missing. Representative will compile a list of what's missing and bring it to the station. Everything that was taken was taken from outside.
1:30 p.m.: Freeman Street, motor vehicle stop. Sergeant Dennett with two individuals who possibly stole scrap metal. Detective Franco heading into station to assist with investigation. Vehicle has been secured in rear lot as evidence, will be obtaining a search warrant for it.
2:44 p.m.: Freeman Street. Police arrested Timothy Sanson, 18, of Woodland Road, and charged him with more than $250 in malicious destruction of property, breaking into a depository, larceny from a building, possession of a burglarious instrument, conspiracy, license not in possession, number plate violation to conceal ID and number plate violation.
3:34 p.m.: Freeman Street. Police arrested Rebecca Andrews, 22, of Woodland Road, and charged her with breaking into a depository, larceny from a building, conspiracy and possession of a Class B substance.
6:37 p.m.: W. Main Street, assisted Norton Fire Department. Caller reports her brakes are on fire. Fire out prior to arrival, cooled down vehicle. Vehicle towed.
6:53 p.m.: Sailor’s Lane, domestic disturbance.

Sunday, Aug. 26
12:03 a.m.: Route 495 North near exit 10, suspicious condition. Sergeant Dennett reports finding a bike that is demolished. Unknown if it fell off vehicle or not. Another reporting party reports debris at bottom of ramp. State Police say a caller reported two bikes fell off his vehicle.
12:08 a.m.: Mansfield Avenue, harassment/threats. Caller reports receiving harassing calls from intoxicated female in Mansfield. Fourteen messages on his voicemail at this time. Caller requests female be advised to stop calling.  Caller reports intoxicated woman is his mother and he is up from N.J. until Sunday morning. Female advised.
1:44 a.m.: Oak Street, harassment/threats. Caller reports he was at the Norton Country Club today as a D.J. at a wedding. He is having separation issues with his wife and he has been receiving harassing text messages all day. Caller and female advised.
3:08 a.m.: Oak Street, assisted Mansfield Police Department with motor vehicle accident. Mansfield requests car to shut down Oak Street, they have a motor vehicle accident with a pole
snapped. One occupant was in the vehicle injured.
12:35 p.m.: Mansfield Avenue, motor vehicle accident. Caller reports fender bender in the parking lot of the Produce Barn, no reported injuries. Both vehicles left on their own, report taken.
5:42 p.m.: E. Main Street, suspicious condition. Caller reports he and his wife pulled over to the side of the road because there is a small boy crying, who doesn't know where he lives. He believes he lives in the Glen and they will be bringing him there to see if he can point out his house. Child has been re-united with father. Mother had left via car and child wandered out to the main road to follow her.

Monday, Aug. 27
12:22 p.m.: Lincoln Street, refer to another agency. Easton Police Department reports they received a call about a large tree branch blocking the road. They sent an officer to investigate, and he found the tree is actually just over the line in Norton. Notified DPW and east side car.
3:50 p.m.: W. Main Street, shoplifting. Caller reports a black male wearing gray sweatpants and riding a bicycle just shoplifted a large blue bag full of merchandise. Area search negative. Report taken from CVS employees, surveillance video to be dropped off.
6:17 p.m.: Reservoir Street. Police arrested Jerome Blomquist, 50, of Eastside Road, Wrentham, and charged him with speeding in violation of special regulation and operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense.
7:31 p.m.: Kensington Road, general disturbance. Caller reports that there is a highly intoxicated female party walking down the street who assaulted her and took off. One taken into protective custody.
