OUI, and Car Accidents Send Occupants to Hospital

The following information about recent local police incidents was supplied by the Norton Police Department. An arrest and/or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Oct. 24:

2:10 a.m. - Dean St.

Police officers responded to a disabled motor vehicle. Subsequently, Jason Grimmett, 28, of 24 West Hodges St. was arrested for OUI liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and a motor vehicle lights violation.

Oct. 25

9:03 a.m. - Old Colony Rd.

Norton emergency officials responded for a call of a motor vehicle accident. One adult and two children were subsequently transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

9:56 a.m. - W. Main St.

Police responded to a motor vehicle accident. Subsequently, one adult was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

1:51 p.m. - W. Main St.

A caller reported being in a building and heard a loud bang. He was unsure if the car hit the building or another car. Police responded and reported the car was out of control and hit two parked cars. One was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospitals.
