Norton Police Log Jan. 16 -18: Snow Trouble, Deer Strike and Collisions

The following information was provided by the Norton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction. Events noted in this log occurred between Jan. 14, 2013 and Jan. 18, 2013.

Tuesday, Jan. 15
7:45 a.m.: Forest Lane, breaking and entering of an unlocked motor vehicle. Caller reports GPS was stolen.

12:56 p.m.: N. Washington Street, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Caller reports GPS stolen. Motor vehicle was locked, but has a faulty back door.

Wednesday, Jan. 16

6:06 a.m. Caller reported a vehicle veared off Dean Street and possibly struck a tree. The vehicle was removed and no injuries were reported.

7:02 a.m.  Caller reported a vehicle collided with a telephone pole on S. Worcester Street. The pole was snapped and down, but the driver reported no injuries.

7:44 a.m. Caller reported a vehicle off the road in the woods on Bay Road. No injuries were reported.

8:58 a.m. Caller reported a vehicle collided with a utility pole on N. Washington Street and the pole is on top of the vehicle. The patients, a father and son, reported no injuries.

9:39 a.m. Caller reported that, while driving on Route 495 under the Newcomb Street overpass a snowplow pushed enough snow over the street to smash her windshield below.

Thursday, Jan. 17

5:24 a.m. Caller reported striking a deer on N. Washington Street.

Friday, Jan. 18

10:44 a.m. Caller reported an unoccupied property on N. Worcester Street was vandalized. Holes were found in the drywall and the ceiling.

3:08 p.m. Caller reported a two-vehicle collision with no injuries on Mansfield Avenue.

5:41 p.m. Caller reported a two-vehicle collision on E. Main Street. Two patients were transported to Brockton Hospital.
