Norton Police Log Feb. 9 to Feb. 11: Crashes, Downed Wires and Stolen Snowblower

Saturday, Feb. 9

2:23 a.m.: EOC requests Fire Department to assist Highway Deptartment with a report of a live wire in the roadway on Todd Drive.

3:41 a.m.: Caller reports plow struck tree and tree fell in roadway on Agorista Lane.

7:43 a.m.: Power lines in the middle of roadway on Bershire Terrace.

1:20 p.m.: Truck fully engulfed in flames on S. Worcester Street.

5:04 p.m.: Caller reports a tree fell into the road on Miller Terrace.

8:00 p.m.: Attleboro Police Department request mutual aid to assist with house explosion. Request officer to stand by at Reynolds and Oak Hill to await the buses that will be transporting residents to a shelter.

Sunday, Feb. 10

6:50 p.m. Caller reported his snow blower was stolen from his front yard on Harvey Street.

Monday, Feb. 11

7:51 a.m.: Caller reports a phone line down on S. Worcester Street. May be an old Verizon line no longer in use. All their services are working at this time.

8:34 a.m.: Caller reports a large tree limb in the roadway on Charlotte Avenue. Highway advised and enroute.

10:16 a.m.: Caller reports a truck pulled down wires and they are now in the roadway on Mansfield Avenue.

11:07 a.m.: Caller reports her sister slid into a snow bank on Reservoir Street.

1:14 p.m.: Caller reports two car motor vehicle accident on W. Main Street with no injuries.

3:40 p.m.: Town plow crashed into another vehicle on S. Worcester Street. Both vehicles left under their own power. More than $1,000 in damages.

5:01 p.m.: Caller reports a truck took down a pole and wires on S. Washington Street just past Hill Street, vehicle did not stop.
