Norton Police Busy During Weekend Storm

The Norton Police Department was busy during Saturday's storm.

 

The Norton Police Department responded to several calls for service because of the storm. 

The following is a summary:

Saturday, Dec. 29:

4:31 p.m. 162 Dean St. Vehicle drove off side of roadway and struck a tree and mailbox. No injuries reported. Vehicle was towed from scene.

5:15 p.m. Ellis Road. Vehicle drove off road and struck lamp post.  National Grid was advised and responded to scene to repair damage. No injuries reported.

5:56 p.m. 166 Oak St. Crash involving two vehicles. No injuries reported. One vehicle towed from scene.

6:08 p.m. 15 South Washington St. Vehicle drove off road and struck mailbox. No injuries reported.

6:23 p.m. 200 Bay Road. Vehicle drove off road and struck fence.  No injuries reported.

8:28 p.m.  81 Cobb St. Tree across roadway. Tree removed by Norton Highway Department.

8:42 p.m. Newland Street. Vehicle drove off roadway and struck utility pole. Pole was resting on vehicle. National Grid advised and responded to scene. National Grid secured utility pole and vehicle was removed. No injuries reported. Vehicle towed from scene.  Newland Street was closed until 3:18 a.m. while crews repaired damage.

11:28 p.m. 314 East Main St. Tree across road. Tree removed by Norton Highway Department.

11:32 p.m. 60 North Worcester St. Wires down. Reported the wires were cable wires and moved to side of roadway.

Sunday, Dec. 30:

3:30 a.m. 98 South Washington St. Wire across road. Reported was cable wire and moved to side of road.
