David Fondacaro, 21, of S. Worcester St., was placed under arrest and charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, larceny over $250 and operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license.

Earlier today, a truck was stolen from Olde Thyme Shoppe and resulted in the arrest of a Norton man.

At 8 a.m., a red Dodge pick-up truck was reported stolen from the gift shop located at 370 Old Colony Road. At approximately 1:13 p.m., Patrolman Jesse Winters, while working a traffic detail for a construction company in the area of 38 N. Worcester St., saw a pick-up truck matching the description of the one reported stolen. Winters stopped the vehicle at his location and spoke with the operator. After a brief investigation, Winters confirmed that the truck was the same truck reported stolen that morning.

Patrolman David Ruskey and Detective James Franco responded to the scene to assist Winters.

The operator, David Fondacaro, 21, of S. Worcester St., was placed under arrest at the scene. Fondacaro is charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, larceny over $250 due to the tools inside truck and operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license. Fondacaro is being held on $5,000 cash bail and will appear in the Attleboro District Court Sept. 13.
