Norton Police Arrest Man for Truck Theft

David Fondacaro, 21, of S. Worcester St., was placed under arrest and charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, larceny over $250 and operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license.

Earlier today, a truck was stolen from Olde Thyme Shoppe and resulted in the arrest of a Norton man.

At 8 a.m., a red Dodge pick-up truck was reported stolen from the gift shop located at 370 Old Colony Road. At approximately 1:13 p.m., Patrolman Jesse Winters, while working a traffic detail for a construction company in the area of 38 N. Worcester St., saw a pick-up truck matching the description of the one reported stolen. Winters stopped the vehicle at his location and spoke with the operator. After a brief investigation, Winters confirmed that the truck was the same truck reported stolen that morning.

Patrolman David Ruskey and Detective James Franco responded to the scene to assist Winters.
