Norton Man Killed in Overnight Car Crash
A car crash on Richardson Drive resulted in the death of a Norton resident early Sunday.
A Norton man died early Sunday after his vehicle struck a guardrail on Richardson Avenue.
Hernani Branco, 61, of Antone Drive was pronounced dead after he was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, according to Norton Police Lt. Todd Jackson.
Jackson said emergency officials responded to the accident at approximately 2:40 a.m. Branco's vehicle, a Cadillac CTS, apparently veered off the road and struck a guardrail.
The crash involved a single motor vehicle and no other injuries were reported.
