Norton Home Break-in, Motor Vehicle Accident and Larceny

The following information about recent local police incidents was supplied by the Norton Police Department. An arrest and/or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Sept. 14:

12:15 a.m. - Island Rd.

A caller reported she came home to find her tv and a Red Sox blanket gone. Police confirmed someone broke into the house through the open basement.

Sept. 15

10:37 p.m. - S. Washington St.

A caller reported a vehicle drove into the trees on the left side of the road. Police reported that one occupant was involved. The vehicle was towed out of the woods. The occupant was evaluated but refused transport to the hospital.

Sept. 16

12:50 a.m. - Norton Glen Rd.

A caller reported someone just tried to enter her back door. She said she did not know who it is and they did not get in. Police spoke with the resident and checked the area. An area search proved to be negative.

Sept. 17

3:44 p.m. - West Main St.

A caller reported a subject in a small black pick-up stole a ladder from his yard and took off towards Attleboro. Attleboro PD was advised and police spoke with the reporting party.

11:24 p.m. - Old Colony Rd.

A homeowner reported there were three males in his house drinking and fighting. Police arrived and three subjects fled on foot before police arrival. The three subjects were the homeowners sons and the homeowner was advised of options.
