Norton Home Break-in, Car Vandalized and Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle

The following information about recent local police incidents was supplied by the Norton Police Department. An arrest and/or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Oct. 11:

4:45 p.m. - East Main St.

A caller reported a past breaking and entering into her residence with multiple items missing. The caller said 30 minutes ago, she arrived at the residence and saw a spray painted black pick-up truck leaving, heading east. A report was taken.

9:04 p.m. - E. Hodges St.

A caller reported several loud bangs. He is unsure if it is fireworks or explosives. Police responded and found that it was fireworks. An area search came back negative.

Oct. 12

10:57 a.m. - Newland St.

A resident walked into the police station to report that the left rear tire of her vehicle was slashed and her car was egged on Newland St. where it was parked.

Oct. 13

7:25 a.m. - S. Worcester St.

A caller reported a bag of paperwork was stolen from her locked motor vehicle. The caller requested a police report.

9:53 p.m. - E. Main St.

A 911 caller reported they are a employee at Dunkin' Donuts and someone knocked on the drive through window and said he was struck by a vehicle. The person to knock on the window was bloody, the caller said.

Police investigated Route 495 for possible vehicle. No vehicle was reported to be found.
