Motor Vehicle Accident, Assault and Sound of Gunshots

The following information about recent local police incidents was supplied by the Norton Police Department. An arrest and/or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Sept. 4:

1 p.m. East Main St.

A caller reported a motor vehicle accident on East Main St. Reports indicate vehicle damage is over $1,000 and one female operator was transported back to Wheaton College.

2:16 p.m. Falls Rd.

A female was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital after she reported being assaulted by her boyfriend. One male was placed in protective custody.

Sept. 5

8:20 a.m. Grove Lane

A caller reported hearing gunshots in the area.  Police checked the area and Mansfield Police were advised.

6:15 p.m. East Main St.

A caller reported she witnessed what appeared to be a drug deal. Two vehicles were in the area of the cemetery. Police checked the area and reports are negative.

Sept. 6

2:35 p.m. Alder Rd.

A caller reported two males pulled over onto conservation land drinking. Police reported the suspects have been advised and are packing it in.
