Motor Vehicle Accident, Air Rifle and Break-ins

The following information about recent local police incidents was supplied by the Norton Police Department. An arrest and/or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Nov. 11:

2:07 p.m. - Old Colony Rd.

Norton Police received a call about a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Two patients were transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital. A report was taken.

3:37 p.m. - Patlena Dr.

Norton Police received a call about a resident who came home to find his television missing. Extra patrols were ordered for the area and a report was taken.

10:33 p.m. - Bay Rd.

A resident reported someone shot at his house with a rifle and headed back to his neighbor's yard. Police were able to apprehend the suspect, who was taken to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

The weapon was an air rifle.

Scott Shively, 39, of 201 Bay Rd. was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon, destruction of peroperty, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.

Nov. 12

9:22 p.m. - W. Main St.

A car was pulled over in front of Walgreens for a red light violation.

Brian Niethod, 52, of Sharon was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Nov. 13

5:56 p.m. - Pine St.

A resident reported a past breaking and entering into a residence. A report was taken as a result.
