Man Injured in John Scott Boulevard Car Accident

John Scott Boulevard closed off for two and a half hours.

Norton police are investigating a car accident that occurred late Friday night.

On Jan. 24, at 11:55 p.m., the Norton Police and Fire Departments responded to a report of a single-car motor vehicle crash at the intersection of John Scott Boulevard and Mack Avenue.

The vehicle, a black Cadillac Escalade, was found with severe damage in a wooded area off John Scott Boulevard and the operator was ejected from the vehicle. An investigation revealed that the vehicle traveled off the roadway and across a yard on John Scott Boulevard before striking a tree. The operator, Evan Davis, 22, of South Worcester Street, Norton, was transported to Sturdy Hospital by Norton Fire Department and later to Rhode Island Hospital.

That area of John Scott Boulevard was closed for approximately two and a half hours during the incident. The crash is under investigation by patrolman Bryan Cota and detective James Franco, along with the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis Unit.
