Larceny of Grill, Opticals and Romney/Ryan Signs in Norton Police Log: Sept. 24 - 25

The following information was supplied by Norton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Sept. 24
12:13 a.m.: W. Hodges Street, suspicious condition. Male subject reportedly lying on the ground. He is conscious.
12:28 p.m.: Elm Street, breaking and entering of a residence. Unsecured door found. Nothing appears to be missing. More thorough search will be done.
7:29 a.m. Kelly Lane, larceny. Caller reports someone stole her brand new grill over the weekend, will be in to file a report when she can.
11:10 a.m.: E. Main Street, vandalism.
2:41 p.m.: E. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. Less than $1,000 in damage.
5:03 p.m.: W. Main Street, suspicious condition. Caller reports there is a male who has been into all three of his optical locations (Norton, Foxborough and Milford), attempting to steal designer frames. Caller reports there was a larceny of eight frames from his Foxborough location, which was reported to Foxboro Police Department. Caller reports the male is large, approximately 280-300 lbs, white with blue eyes. An optical place in N. Attleboro was recently victimized by same suspects. Caller requesting extra patrols until his alarm system is installed.
5:30 p.m.: Burt Street, suspicious condition. Caller reports finding a knife on her lawn that she's picked up and wrapped in a napkin. Advised her not to touch it further.
5:26 p.m.: W. Hodges Street, suspicious condition. Caller reports a suspicious thin, tall male was in her backyard today. Left in a black truck. Caller requesting extra patrols.

Tuesday, Sept. 25
12:57 a.m.: Toad Island Road, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Vehicle was broken into earlier in the evening. iPod taken from unlocked vehicle.
5:08 a.m.: Oak Street, Mansfield, assisted Mansfield Police Department. Mansfield Police requests cars to stand by the line, home invasion in their town. Attempted to tie up homeowner. Three  black males, one with a blue hoodie. Homeowner also heard car doors slam.
8:30 a.m.: Charlotte Avenue, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Caller reports someone went through his unlocked vehicle overnight. It doesn't appear that anything was taken.
8:55 a.m.: E. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. No injuries. Damage more than $1,000. Both vehicles left under their own power.
12:43 p.m.: Lincoln Street, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Caller requesting extra patrols. Three unlocked vehicles in the yard were gone through overnight. Cash and a wallet were taken.
1:56 p.m.: E. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. No injuries reported.
5:13 p.m.: W. Main Street, assault. Caller reports her daughter was assaulted at school this morning and is requesting to talk to an officer.
5:17 p.m.: Commerce Way, motor vehicle accident. Five people involved, one transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.
5:43 p.m.: N. Worcester Street, larceny of Romney/Ryan campaign sign.
