Fire in Norton Police Log: Nov. 10 - 12

The following information was supplied by Norton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, Nov. 10
3:52 a.m.: Miller Terrace, assisted Wheaton Public Safety for a disturbance call. Wheaton Public Safety reports off with subject. Also looking for two other subjects who have been avoiding them all night long.  
4:33 a.m.: W. Main Street. Police arrested James E. Guerrini, 44, of Bank Street, Attleboro, and charged him with two counts of violation of a harassment protection order and operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor.
5:48 a.m.: Buttonwood Road, assisted Norton Fire Department with fire. Caller reports her house is on fire. Engines from Town of Easton and Attleboro, a ladder from Mansfield and an engine from Rehoboth is enroute for station coverage. Command reports primary search of the residence shows no one home. Command requests notification to National Grid to respond. Command reports fire has been knocked down, extensive overhaul. On scene time approximately 1 1/2 hours. Patrolman Crugnale will be on scene for traffic control. Command requesting Red Cross be notified. Building inspector being notified per Command for extensive damage. Cleared.
6:23 p.m.: Mansfield Avenue, vandalism. Caller reports a small gray compact car with a Quan's Kitchen sign drove on his lawn and caused damage. Would like an officer to take a report.  Caller was advised of delayed response due to another incident in town. Patrolman Cameron reports log note only, delivery driver mistook the driveway for neighbor’s driveway. Original reporting party will be contacting the restaurant, says there are ruts all over the place.
9:36 p.m.: E. Main Street, suspicious condition. Caller reports there is an incoherent male in the backseat of a car who is breathing, not sure if he's responsive. Patrolman Schleicher reports the staff at North Cottage was less than helpful. Rescue will be transporting to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.  

Sunday, Nov. 11
1:18 a.m.: Taunton Avenue/Meadow Brook Bridge. Police arrested Sean M. Pohl, 45, of Norton Avenue, Taunton, and charged him with marked lanes violation, speeding in violation of special regulation, operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended licence, operation of a motor vehicle with a revoked registration and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle with trailer.
3:35 a.m.: Harvey Street. Police arrested Christian Aaron Breau, 20, of Todd Drive, Norton, and charged him with speeding in violation of special regulation, operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor and motor vehicle brakes violation.
10:27 a.m.: Bay Road, assisted Attleboro Police Department. Requested drive-by to search for vehicle. Residence checked negative.
1:08 p.m.: E. Main Street, fraud/embezzlement. Report of fraud regarding an electric bill.
10:00 p.m.: Norton Glen Road, harassment/threats. Report that child’s grandmother was at location and threatened her. She does not want to further the report is asking for log note only.  

Monday, Nov. 12
7:07 a.m.: Reservoir Street, suspicious condition. Caller reports gunshots in the area. Advised it's hunting season and she request an officer because there is no way they are far enough from a residence to be shooting safely. Patrolman Mailloux off Juniper at the beach. Reports no one in the area, possibly hunters on the reservoir. Patrolman Schepis reports same thing, and if they are hunting on one of the islands there is nothing they can do.
7:57 a.m.: Lagoon Lane, breaking and entering of a residence. Caller reporting past breaking and entering. She reports items are missing and there are no signs of forced entry.
11:46 a.m.: W. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. Caller reporting two-car collision with no injuries.
12:46 p.m.: Summer Street, suspicious condition. Sergeant Dennett reports inappropriate literature that was in the trees has been disposed of.
1:43 p.m.: W. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. Operator left the scene.
4:42 p.m.: John Scott Boulevard, motor vehicle accident. Caller reports minor motor vehicle accident.
