Disturbance, Hit and Run and Breaking and Entering into a Residence

The following information about recent local police incidents was supplied by the Norton Police Department. An arrest and/or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Sept. 30:

1:42 p.m. - Mansfield Ave.

State Police in Foxborough reported a trooper was flagged down at Cumberland Farms reporting his house was broken into and he believes the subjects are still there.

Norton PD responded and reported that it was unfounded.

1:47 p.m. - Worcester St.

A caller reported she was flagged down by someone involved in a hit and run. The other vehicle was a blue car and it took off. The driver, an operator of a landscape trailer, was taken to the hospital and a criminal complaint was filed with evidence.

Oct. 1

6:36 p.m. - S. Worcester St.

A caller reported her 22 year old grandson was intoxicated an violent. The caller said the grandson has been drinking and is damaging the garage and property outside the residence. The male was placed in protective custody by Norton PD.

8:28 p.m. - W. Main St.

A caller reported her neighbor was yelling for over a half hour. Her husband attempted to speak with the neighbors but they yelled for him to go away. Subsequently, one male was placed into protective custody by Norton PD.

Oct. 2

9:47 a.m. - S. Worcester St.

A caller reported a past breaking and entering in the basement over night where her neighbor chased someone out of the basement. The caller reported her bathroom was entered via the window and there are handprints on the window. The caller reported the bathroom door was locked from the outside so entry into the rest of the house was not gained.
