Disorderly Conduct, OUI, Gunshots and Possible B&E

The following information about recent local police incidents was supplied by the Norton Police Department. An arrest and/or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Sept. 27:

1:05 a.m. - Scott Dr.

Norton Police responded to Scott Dr. for a group of Wheaton students in front of Haskins.

Under arrest was Maria Smerkovich, 22, of Norton for disorderly conduct.

Sept. 28:

12:20 a.m. - Plain St.

Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Plain St. There were no reports of injuries.

Under arrest was Christopher McMahon, 21, of Norton for marked lanes violation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and OUI liquor.

1:02 a.m. - Taunton Ave.

A caller reported hearing two gunshots a couple of minutes apart. The caller was unable to report which direction they were coming from. An area search was negative.

7:58 p.m. - Reservoir St.

Callers reported  what sounds like gunshots, unsure if it is fireworks.  Police report an area search was negative.

Sept. 29

5:27 p.m. - Maple St.

A caller reported a possible breaking and entering into his home. Police responded and a report was taken.
