Cookie Thrown at Cashier, Fruit at Door in Norton Police Log: Oct. 3 - 5

Wednesday, Oct. 3
12:05 a.m.: Olympia Street, suspicious condition. Caller reports she heard a male outside  her window screaming and swearing. Area search negative.
12:45 a.m.: E. Main Street, general disturbance. Caller reports her ex boyfriend is banging at her back door.  Patrolman Cota reports he will be transporting that subject to the Attleboro line. Reporting party advised of 209A options and she signed the form.
11:05 a.m.: E. Main Street, larceny. General manager reports they have reason to believe one of their employees stole bag with $500 in cash. He requests to meet an officer at the office in the Freeman Street location. Problem has been resolved.
12:37 p.m.: W. Main Street, assault. Patrolman Franco enroute to high school for a report of a past fight resulting in injuries, both parties have been removed from school by their parents. Report taken and criminal app to follow.
2:10 p.m.: E. Main Street, assisted Attleboro Police Department. Caller reporting he witnessed a hit and run just before the line in Attleboro. Attleboro Police were advised. They called back and advised they do have the victim. Vehicle found, will speak to subject. Paperwork exchanged.
1:20 p.m.: Larson Farm Drive, suspicious condition. Caller reports hearing four to five gunshots coming from north of her residence. Numerous extra patrols in the area, nothing showing.

Thursday, Oct. 4
12:04 p.m.: Balsam Road, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle.

Friday, Oct. 5
9:43 a.m.: E. Main Street, assault. Caller reports last night, an upset customer threw a cookie at his 16 year old female employee. Caller reports he will be checking the surveillance tapes and is requesting an office to view it.
10:43 a.m.: Norton Glen Road, motor vehicle accident. Caller is requesting an officer for damage to her motor vehicle that occurred when driving through the construction area. No report needed, private way and operator negligence.
2:32 p.m.: E. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. No injuries.
3:34 p.m.: Route 495 North, exit 10, assisted another agency. Department of Transportation in Taunton requesting police assistance at the 495 off ramp at exit 10. Route 495 is being shut down and cars need to be re-routed. Ramp shut down with signs, traffic will flow via Route 123.
3:44 p.m.: E. Main Street, motor vehicle accident with minor injuries. Mansfield transporting one, parents contacted for three minors.
4:34 p.m.: Burt Street, vandalism and larceny of a cable box.
9:55 p.m.: Kingsley Road, suspicious condition. Reporting party requests extra patrols for the area. She stated fruit was thrown at residence and damaged front door.
10:59 p.m.: E. Main Street, referral to another agency. Caller reports hearing a loud boom coming from the college area. Caller reports same incident took place last weekend. Wheaton Public Safety reports that someone has been lighting off one firework and when they get to the area nobody is around. Usually around the Chapel.
