Concert Goers, Car Crashes and Vandalism

The following information about recent local police incidents was supplied by the Norton Police Department. An arrest and/or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Sept. 21:

3:01 p.m. - Mansfield Ave.

A caller reported a large amount of concert goers near the Comcast Center. Mansfield Police were advised and said they have no plans to open early. Some of the crowd was dispersed. The Mansfield chief was advised.

10:08 p.m. E. Main St.

State Police reported a two-car motor vehicle accident at the 495 overpass on East Main St.

Two people denied injuries and one person was evaluated. Two vehicles were involved. The patient denied transport to the hospital.

Sept. 22

12:20 a.m. - W. Main St.

A caller reported several kids on foot knocking down mailboxes and throwing them into the roadway. She reported some left on foot towards Hess, others towards the college.

A second caller reported another group walking from Trinity to the college knocking trash cans and mailboxes on the way. Police reported the area search was negative.

Sept. 23

12:04 a.m. Island Rd.

A caller reported a breaking and entering into their residence. A report was taken.

10:14 a.m. E. Main St.

A two car motor vehicle accident with an injury was reported with a fluid leak in front of the library. After evaluation, there were no hospital transports.
