Car Break-in, Larceny and BOLO

The following information about recent local police incidents was supplied by the Norton Police Department. An arrest and/or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Dec. 18:

4:04 a.m. Hawthorne Rd.

A resident reported he woke up to the sound of a car door slamming. He looked out the window to see someone was attempting to break into his vehicles. The suspect did not gain entry. Police could not locate the suspect.

8:23 p.m. - N. Highland Rd.

A caller reported a past breaking and entering at his residence. Police arrived and it does not appear that a breaking and entering occurred.

Dec. 19

10:39 p.m. - Mansfield Avenue

All Norton cars were advised to be on the lookout for a Chevy van possibly involved in a commercial break-in in Mansfield. The BOLO was later canceled.

Dec. 20

1:22 a.m. - Mansfield Avenue

A 911 caller requested police respond to Cumberland Farms in Attleboro then hung up without providing name or additional information. Police contacted the business and it was reported that the customer may have been jumped. Prior to arrival of police, the subject left. Area Police Departments were asked to be on the lookout. Mansfield PD reported they were off with the subject, and he is intoxicated. He was placed into custody by Mansfield PD.

3:37 p.m. - W. Main St.

A male subject walked into Chartley Beer and Wine in and left with five scratch tickets without paying for them. A report was taken.
