Car Accident, Vehicle Search, and Assault
The following information about recent local police incidents was supplied by the Norton Police Department. An arrest and/or charge does not indicate a conviction.
Dec. 30:
12:10 p.m. - Mansfield Ave.
Norto PD met with Mansfield PD at the scene of a motor vehicle accident. Mansfield PD reported no injuries, but front end damage to a Toyota Corolla.
Dec. 31
12:59 a.m. - E. Main St.
Easton Police advised Norton Police to be on the lookout for a black volkswagon with a male operator, possible for OUI with a child in the car.
Norton Police searched the area and could not locate the vehicle.
Jan. 1
4:06 a.m. - Union Rd.
A caller reported he was physically assaulted by a female. He reported he has left the residence and has been picked up by a friend. He wanted it logged. After several minutes he agreed to come to the station to fill out a report and speak to an officer.
11:11 p.m. - N. Worcester St.
A 22-year-old female was transported to the hospital by Norton emergency officials with flu-like symptoms.
