Breaking and Entering of Cars, Vandalism in Norton Police Log: Nov. 28 - Dec. 1

Friday, Nov. 28
12:23 a.m.: S. Worcester Street, assisted Taunton Police Department with vehicle search after breaking and entering into two cars.
1:06 a.m.: S. Worcester Street, general disturbance. Caller reports fight in progress then hung up. State Police transfer on second call reports same. Patrolman McCarthy reports he has both parties detained. Minor altercation, malicious damage.
7:08 a.m.: Holden Street, Attleboro, field investigation for hit and run.  
11:32 a.m.: E. Main Street, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Caller came out to her blue Kia Sorento after being gone for 20 minutes to find her window broken and wallet missing.

Saturday, Nov. 29
1:06 a.m.: Furnace Pond Way, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Caller reports sometime in the past 45 minutes his son's girlfriend’s car was broken into.  Her purse was taken. His vehicle was also broken into but nothing was taken. Caller reports both vehicles were unlocked. Area check negative.
6:24 a.m.: Billie’s Way, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Caller reports her husband’s unlocked motor vehicle was broken into overnight. Change and wallet were taken. Area was checked, nothing showing
10:00 a.m.: Billie’s Way, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Caller reports her son’s wallet was taken from his vehicle overnight. She states that while he was walking the street to see if it was discarded by the person who took it, he found some debit cards on the side of the road. Property retrieved.
10:25 a.m.: Birch Brook Lane, recovered property. Patrolman Ruskey reports he found several credit and debit cards. Attempted to return to owner. No one home. Left note to call station.
10:41 a.m.: W. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. Less than $1,000 in damage. They are exchanging information.
10:58 a.m.: N. Washington Street, assisted another agency. Mansfield Police Department reports they had a hit and run the area of Weir Street. Vehicle is a blue Crown Victoria with damage to passenger side. Sergeant Dennett reports N. Washington Street negative for that vehicle.
11:44 a.m.: Reservoir Street, larceny. Blue 26” Schwinn bicycle stolen.
2:36 p.m.: Fairlee Lane, vandalism. Car keyed.
4:49 p.m.: Samoset Street, harassment/threats. Caller inquired if his ex girlfriend had called the police to ask them to assist her with item retrieval from his apartment. Caller was advised she had not called and that police would call him prior to going over to his house.
5:20 p.m.: Dean Street, motor vehicle accident. Callers reports striking a deer causing minor damage to her vehicle. Reports the deer is gone, she does not need medical help. Operator will be into station later to fill out a report.
5:36 p.m.: Barrows Street, motor vehicle accident. Car versus tree. Vehicle towed.
10:34 p.m.: W. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. Female witness reports erratic operation prior to the accident by a white SUV. Tow needed.
11:07 p.m.: W. Main Street. Police arrested Eric E. Jette, 25, of S. Main Street, Attleboro, and charged him with marked lanes violation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor.

Sunday, Nov. 30
2:25 a.m.: S. Worcester Street, suspicious condition. Male caller who would not leave his name reports intoxicated subjects in the parking lot of Sportsman's Cafe. Males transported.
9:05 a.m.: Mansfield Avenue, larceny. Walk-in requesting log note regarding package that was
delivered by UPS and was allegedly taken by someone from front steps. She will be contacting her credit card company.
1:55 p.m.: E. Main Street, assault. Walk in reporting past assault and battery.
3:04 p.m.: N. Washington Street, trespassing. Caller reports hunters in Johnson Woods.
3:25 p.m.: Mansfield Avenue, motor vehicle accident.
6:25 p.m.: Taunton Avenue, suspicious condition. Caller reports he is behind a Black Dodge Intrepid that is driving erratically and crossing marked lanes. Middleboro State Police notified with car's description and plate number.
11:05 p.m.: Barrows Court, vandalism. Caller reports her house got egged about 15 minutes ago. She found two empty egg cartons on Barrows Street. Requesting log note and extra patrols.

Monday, Dec. 1
12:21 p.m.: Cross Street, vandalism. Caller reporting residence has been egged a few times. They have no idea who may be doing it. Requests extra patrols at night.
