Breaking and Entering in Norton Police Log: Oct. 17 - 19

The following information was supplied by Norton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Oct. 17
12:22 p.m.: Freeman Street, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Walk-in reports hearing voices around 3:00 a.m. and seeing a male in their backyard. Reported breaking and entering of motor vehicle.
12:50 p.m.: S. Worcester Street, general services. Sergeant Dennett flagged down by resident who reports a paving crew dug up driveway and left. No money exchanged.
1:44 p.m.: E. Main Street, larceny. Larceny of a crosswalk sign in front of the library. All but the base was stolen. Wheaton Public Safety found a cone and put it back in place.
2:27 p.m.: Reservoir Street, motor vehicle accident hit and run.
2:28 p.m.: Caller reports a beige Honda took out a mailbox. The motor vehicle lost the side mirror and was scratched up the side. It headed towards Mansfield.
4:17 p.m.: Harvey Street, motor vehicle accident. Reporting party reports a van struck a car and left the area. They do know the van and the driver of vehicle. Both vehicles on scene have less than $1,000 in damages. Damage to front plastic license plate cover on Mercedes and dent to bumper on van. Paperwork exchanged.
5:43 p.m.: S. Worcester Street, suspicious condition. Caller reports that there is a pick up, trying to dump tar in their driveway. Paving company and reporting party spoken to. Peace restored.
7:04 p.m.: E. Main Street, suspicious condition. Party reports a subject got out of car and looked around building with a flashlight and left. Deemed it suspicious.  

Thursday, Oct. 18
1:56 p.m.: S. Worcester Street, motor vehicle accident. Motorcyclist laid his bike
down. Patrolman Ruskey reports he is up and he doesn't believe he will need an ambulance.
4:20 p.m.: E. Main Street, harassment/threats. Caller reports he was threatened by another resident and was so scared, he drove to Arlington. Caller was advised.
4:40 p.m.: E. Main Street, recovered property. Sergeant Dennett reports he found a jewelry box on the ground and checked the area; no jewelry with it. Believed to be discarded after a house break, will be bringing it back to the station.
7:02 p.m.: Faith Way, harassment/threats. Caller reports his neighbor called him an obscene name.
10:25 p.m.: Robin Circle, domestic disturbance.

Friday, Oct. 19
1:34 a.m.: E. Main Street, vandalism. Patrolman Mailloux reports mailbox at above address has damage under them.
7:11 a.m.: W. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. No injuries. They will be able to leave on their own power.
10:53 a.m.: W. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. No injuries. Both vehicles left under their own power.
3:02 p.m.: Sailors Lane, suspicious condition. Caller reports unoccupied residence that is up for sale has Saab is in the yard with a male party rummaging through the garage. Vehicle is gone. Patrolman Greco is off with that vehicle. Patrolman Ruskey reports there was nothing in the garage and nothing was found in his vehicle after a consensual search. Male was looking for cans on the side of the road.
4:13 p.m.: N. Lakeview Road, breaking and entering of a residence. They just arrived home and found a broken kitchen window. Evidence collected. Sergeant Goodwin in the area conducting a neighborhood canvass.
4:53 p.m.: Taunton Avenue, motor vehicle accident. Wheaton Public Safety reporting a two car accident, no injuries in front of the Lyon's Den on Taunton Avenue. No damage to either vehicle, both parties on their way.
5:21 p.m.: N. Lakeview Road, breaking and entering of a residence. Suspect described as tall, thin, white male in late teens with dark blonde hair.
6:38 p.m.: Route 495 North, assisted Norton Fire Department. State Police in Foxborough reporting two-car crash north of exit 10. One car into the woods with a female complaining of neck and back pain. Patient has been extricated, transported.
