Breaking and Entering Arrest in Norton Police Log: Nov. 20 - 23

The following information was supplied by Norton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Nov. 20
7:06 a.m.: W. Main Street, suspicious condition. Caller reports he is in the lot to the left of CVS picking up equipment for Lewis Tree Service. He states there is a male party harassing him and his girlfriend. Reporting party’s boss apparently owes the male party money. Civil issue.
1:19 a.m.: Harvey Street, suspicious condition. Caller reports suspicious vehicle driving up and down the neighborhood shutting off its lights turning them back on. Area check negative for vehicle.

Wednesday, Nov. 21
6:35 a.m.: Country Circle, assisted Norton Fire Department. Caller reports his 80-year-old wife is unresponsive but breathing. Caller reports he is unable to move her due to his age. Transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.
8:42 a.m.: Lagoon Lane, trespassing.
2:23 p.m.: Elm Street, breaking and entering of a building. Reporting party hears noises inside the building, all units advised. Mansfield notified and will send some units and will switch to Norton frequency when approaching. One in custody. Mansfield cancelled. Patrolman Chmielinski enroute to station with male and evidence.
2:52 p.m.: Elm Street. Police arrested Anthony J. Enos, 22, of Bay Street, Taunton, and charged him with more than $250 in malicious destruction of property, breaking and entering in the daytime for a felony and less than $250 in larceny.
6:38 p.m.: E. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. Car versus tree. No injuries. Damage done to mailbox.

Thursday, Nov. 22
2:21 a.m.: Freeman Street. Police arrested Brandon E. Meninno, 21, of Richmond Road, Assonet, and charged him with marked lanes violation, operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor and motor vehicle lights violation.
4:06 a.m.: E. Hodges Street, assisted Norton Fire Department. Caller reports brush fire in front of residence. Approx 20 feet wide, out by roadway. Patrolman Schepis reports fire still burning, but most of it burned itself out. Wet down and extinguished.
9:33 a.m.: Village Way, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Work sweatshirts taken.
12:40 p.m.: Old Colony Road, motor vehicle accident. Caller reports vehicle versus pole, no injuries or fluid leaks.

Friday, Nov. 23
2:48 p.m.: Eddy Street, breaking and entering of a residence. Walk-in reporting theft of copper from residence. Report taken, canvas complete.
