Breaking and Entering Arrest, Four Car Accident and Vandalism

The following information about recent local police incidents was supplied by the Norton Police Department. An arrest and/or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Dec. 4:

5:15 p.m. - Newcomb St.

A caller reported a male party was at his door trying to get in. An officer checked the area.

A second call from a neighbor reported the same male party came to his door offering to do some home improvements. The caller asked the male for a card and he left abruptly.

Officers spoke with a male on the corner of Horton Dr., then spoke with both callers. They were advised of their options.

Dec. 5

7:47 a.m. - N. Lakeview Rd.

A caller reported two flat tires. She said an ex boyfriend and former friend are responsible but does not have any proof. A report was taken.

10:23 a.m. - Reinhard Dr.

Brothers Steven Girouard, 27, and Joseph Girouard, 30, of 199 Depot St., Easton were charged with breaking and entering in the daytime, larceny from a building, possession of burglarious tools, and possession of stolen property.

2:45 p.m. - W. Main St.

Police responded to a two car motor vehicle accident on W. Main St. and Oak St. One person was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

5 p.m. - Mansfield Avenue

Police responded to a two car motor vehicle accident. No injuries were reported as a result.

5:31 p.m. - W. Main St.

A four-car motor vehicle accident was reported. The road was closed for approximately 30 minutes and three were taken to the hospital.
