Breaking and Entering and Drug Possession

The following information about recent local police incidents was supplied by the Norton Police Department. An arrest and/or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Jan. 13:

4:57 p.m. - Rock Ln.

A resident contacted Norton PD and said their neighbor was burning yard debris in a pit in the back yard. The caller said there is smoke all over the neighborhood. The fire was extinguished.

5:15 p.m. - N. Washington St.

Police responded to a burglar alarm and determined a breaking and entering occurred.

After a subsequent investigation, Stephen A. Mudge, 43, of 2 Perry St. was arrested for breaking and entering.

6:36 p.m. - Elm St.

Kathleen Corbett, 44, of Dedham was arrested for suspicion of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and possession of a Class E substance.

Jan. 14

7:38 a.m. - Reservoir St.

A resident returned home to discover his door and cabinets were open. Copper was cut and taken from the home. A report was taken.

3:01 p.m. - W. Main St.

Police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles. No accidents were reported.
