Accidents, Stolen Street Signs in Norton Police Log: Sept. 4 - 7

Tuesday, Sept. 4
7:20 a.m.: Old Colony Road, motor vehicle accident. Caller reports driver in front of him was driving erratically and has just hit a telephone pole in front of Dunkin Donuts. Airbag has been deployed. No injuries, but there is a fluid spill. Light damage to pole. Attleboro Police Department also notified that the operator struck a yellow pole in Attleboro, punctured her gas tank and continued driving. Vehicle towed.
8:08 a.m.: W. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. Two-car accident, no injuries. Both vehicles left under own power.
9:26 a.m.: 5 Fuller Drive, vandalism. Walk-in reporting his mail box and trash barrel were knocked over last night.
11:01 a.m.: W. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. Caller reports a blue jeep struck a black Nissan Mirano in the parking lot and left, unknown direction of travel. All cars advised. Sergeant Eisnor reports located offending vehicle and spoke to the operator, they did not think they hit the other vehicle and information is being exchanged.
12:07 p.m.: Old Colony Road, motor vehicle accident. No injuries, no fluid leaks. One vehicle left under own power, second vehicle off the road and is getting his own wrecker.
1:19 p.m.: Azalea Road, larceny. Highway Department into station reporting larceny of street sign/pole for Azalea Road, N. Highland and Barberry Road.
7:11 p.m.: Mansfield Avenue, assisted Norton Fire Department. Caller reports someone was contacting them for a tow and the vehicle of the AAA customer caught fire. Fire knocked down. Fire contained to engine.
6:34 p.m.: W. Main Street, identity theft.
6:57 p.m.: Lagoon Lane, harassment/threats. Caller reports her ex left a threatening note in her door. Spoken to.
8:57 p.m.: E. Main Street, general disturbance. Subject into station reporting out of control female. Female has jumped out of car and ran down the road possibly intoxicated. Female transported.

Wednesday, Sept. 5
2:17 a.m.: 53 Freeman St., domestic disturbance.
8:39 a.m.: 13 Fletcher Way, identity theft.
10:32 a.m.: Dean Street, general disturbance. Caller reports low hanging wire area of Parker Street. Wire removed from road and house, off to the side.

Thursday, Sept. 6
9:06 a.m.: Elm Street, vandalism.
1:25 p.m.: Grove Lane, harassment/threats. Advised of rights.
2:04 p.m.: Hill Street, vandalism. Caller reporting someone slashed the tires on his vehicle.
2:09 p.m.: W. Main Street, harassment/threats. Walk-in in reports he was harassed by subjects in Mansfield. Advised to Mansfield Police Department as well.
5:27 p.m.: W. Main Street, harassment/threats. Caller reports female was just at her residence yelling at her and accusing her son of vandalism to motor vehicle.
6:46 p.m.: W. Main Street, domestic disturbance.
7:12 p.m.: Faith Way, general disturbance. Caller reports male is yelling and bothering people outside.
11:30 p.m.: W. Main Street, general disturbance. Caller reports noise complaint with students in back of a building partying. Party was dispersing upon their arrival.

Friday, Sept. 7
3:33 a.m.: S. Worcester Street, general disturbance. Caller reports hearing five gunshots from the rear of her residence or off to the right more towards Power Street. Caller reports sounded like a rifle. Patrolman Schepis reports he is in the area of MGA Links heard two more shots came from the area behind Downtown. Two bangs may have been from trash truck.  
1:05 p.m.: Maple Street, fraud/embezzlement. Caller reports being a victim of internet fraud. Patrolman Mailloux requests a log note, and will look into the website.
4:32 p.m.: Freeman Street, annoying phone calls. Caller reports she has been getting phone calls asking for money to help abducted children. When reporting party asked the caller where they were from, she was hung up on.  
5:30 p.m.: Cherry Tree Drive, suspicious condition. Caller reports last week his son’s TV was stolen from the garage. Today his daughter’s TV was stolen. No forced entry visible. There are some autographed sports memorabilia missing also.
