Accidents and Break-ins in Norton

The following information about recent local police incidents was supplied by the Norton Police Department. An arrest and/or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Jan. 11:

12:29 a.m. - Taunton Avenue

A caller reports a pick-up truck slid off the road. The operator was not injured. The area was all ice and a second vehicle was involved. A private tow was called.

2:20 a.m. - Old Colony Rd.

A caller came upon a two-car motor vehicle accident.

Upon investigation, the accident appears to be a spin-out with mechanical issues. Attleboro PD arrived on the scene to assist with traffic until the area was clear.

Jan. 12

3:07 p.m. - Hawthorne Rd.

A caller reports his unlocked motor vehicle was entered and rummaged through the night before. A broken X-Box and missing change were reported.

10:10 p.m. - Hawthorne Rd.

A caller reported the house had been broken into. He only thinks the television is missing. Police determined access was gained through the window. A report was taken.
