My Two Cents: Buying in Bulk
Peter J. Wiggins has a new formula the next time you shop at BJ's---Try to see how many things are there in a box and divide it by price/how many cups are in the box = $.XX a cup/package.
While I was at BJ's in Taunton yesterday, I invented a new formula while I was in the appliance section. I found K-Cups - you know the little cups you put in the Keurig Coffee Machine and make that perfect cup of coffee - and I decided to put the price of the entire box to the test.
Starbucks French Roast Coffee K-Cups 54-pack- The price was $39.99, so I divided it by 54 and it came to $.74 a cup.
Donut House Collection Caffeinated Coffee for Keurig Brewing Systems, 80 K-Cups- $44.99 divided by 80 = $.56 a cup.
Yesterday I compared the toothpaste 3, 4 and 5 pack and divided it by the price. For example- Colgate Cavity Protection, regular flavor, 8.2 Oz., 5-Pk- priced at $9.99- divided it by 5 = $2.00 a pack.

So next time you are at BJ's, look at the price, divide it by pack and you will get $.XX a cup/package. Buying in bulk could help you save money.
