Norton Wrestling Team Invited to the State House

What a day for Norton Wrestling!  Thanks to Representative Jay Barrows, members of the team, coaches and parents (grandparents, too!), along with Superintendent Dr. Pat Ansay were invited to the State House for a reception in the Members Lounge.  After lunch the team was honored on the floor of the House of Representatives where Coach Pat Coleman received an official citation as Coach of the Year and Captains Brett Gallagher, John Royle and Scott Coleman accepted a citation for the team as D-3 State Champions.  An interesting guided tour of the State House was followed by a photo session before the bus departed for Norton.  Many thanks to Representative Jay Barrows and his aide Ms. Meredith Rodman as well as Representative Steven Howitt for hosting the visit and making this a memorable occasion for everyone.  On the way there and again on the way back Coach McCarthy, a patrolman with the Norton Police Department, arranged for a police escort through town which made the day even more special!
