Obituary: Russell K. Waite

Russell K. Waite, 69, of Norton, passed away surrounded by his Monday, Nov. 12, 2012 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton.

He was husband of Annette G. (Martin) Waite to whom he was wed June 5, 1965.

Born in Fall River June 4, 1943, he was son of the late Jirah and Nina (Wordell) Waite. He grew up and was educated in North Dartmouth.

Prior to retiring, Mr. Waite was employed as a printer for 40 years at the Foxboro Co. in Foxboro. He had made his home in Norton for the past 36 years.

His favorite times spent were those in the company of his family and he was anticipating the birth of his fourth great-grandchild.

Russ was an avid outdoorsman. He was a member of the Easton Rod & Gun Club and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and attending car shows.

In addition to his wife of 47 years, he leaves his children Donna M. Moitoza and her husband Charles of Norton, Karen D. Carrier and her husband Stephen of Lunenburg and Russell A. “Todd” Waite of Texas; his twin brother Ronald Waite of Dartmouth and sister Audrey Hubert of North Dartmouth; his 11 grandchildren; his three great-grandchildren; and his several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a service celebrating his life, Saturday, Dec. 1 at 2 p.m. at Norton Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be private.

Visiting hours are omitted and in lieu of flowers, Russell’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the Norton Fire Department Ambulance Fund, 70 East Main St., Norton, MA 02766.
