Obituary: Robert F. Falke

Robert F. Falke, age 85, of Norton passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2013.

Robert F. Falke, age 85, of Norton passed peacefully in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his three angels, on Saturday, January 12, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Patricia M. (Green) Falke, to whom he was wed on December 5, 1955.

Born in Attleboro, MA on January 22,1927 he was a loving son of the late William C. and Florence M. (Cribby) Falke.

Bob grew up and was educated in Attleboro. He proudly served his country; first as a member of the Merchant Marines and was later honorably discharged from the United States Navy following faithful service during WWII.

A resident of Norton for the past 57 years, Mr. Falke was a retired slitter having worked for over 40 years at Fortifiber in Attleboro prior to retiring in 1990.

Bob’s family was the essence of his life and he could always be counted on to lend others a helping hand. He loved his pet dogs, listening to music, trips to Maine and sitting down to a tasty seafood dinner. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his beloved wife of 57 years, he is survived by his devoted children, Lynn M. Falke of Attleboro, twins Robert W. Falke of Norton and William R. Falke of Acton. The dear brother of Beverly Hughes of Florida and the late Marion Hendersen, Florence Forget, Mim Crowley, Dorothy DeMayo and Richard, Albert, and William “Buster” Falke, he is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Natasha M. Falke of Pocasset and Justin K. Falke of Norton, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Thursday, January 17th at 1:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton. Burial with military honors will follow in the Timothy Plain Cemetery in Norton.

Visitation will be held prior to the services beginning at 11:00 A.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, Robert’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to Beacon Hospice , 182 Main St., Fall River, MA 02720
