Obituary: Nancy (Murphy) DeGiacomo

Nancy DeGiacomo, 98, of Norton, formerly of Walpole, died Dec. 9, 2012 in the Medway Country Manor.

She was the wife of the late Anthony DeGiacomo who died in 1993.

Born in Brighton, December 6, 1914, the daughter of the late Cornelius and Mary (Byrne) Murphy, Mrs. DeGiacomo was raised in Brighton and had lived in Walpole from 1952 until 2007 when she moved to Norton.

Mrs. DeGiacomo had been a Hospice worker at the former Pondville Hospital. She had been active at St. Timothys Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Ladies Sodality and the Womens Club

She is survived by her children Dr. William DeGiacomo and his wife Martha of Norton and her daughter Nancy Lamphier of Sarasota, Fla.; her granddaughter Lisa Cook; and her great-grandchildren William, Lucas, Dallas, Paige and Rebecca.
