Obituary: George Sheridan
Visiting hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. today while the funeral service and interment will be Friday, Sept. 28 starting 11 a.m.
George L. Sheridan, of Norton, formerly of W. Roxbury and Mattapan, died unexpectedly Sept. 22, 2012.
He was the husband of Marie (DeSantis).
George, a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran, was a retired lieutenant detective at Boston Police Department at headquarters and Mattapan.

He leaves his daughter Teresa Douglas of Norton; his grandchildren Christine, Robert and Katelyn Douglas; his aunts and uncles Carmela Kerrigan of Dedham, Eugene Signori of Easton, Joseph Signori of Canton and Louis Sheridan of Florida.
Funeral service will be at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton Friday, Sept. 28 at 11 a.m. Visiting hours will be Thursday, Sept. 27, 4 to 8 p.m. The interment will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, Friday, Sept. 28 at 1:45 p.m.
