Obituary: Evelyn A. Foley

Evelyn A. (Jodoin) Foley, 84, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at Epoch of Norton.

Born in Walpole on Jan. 18, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Alfred F. and M. Eva (Casey) Jodoin.

Evelyn graduated from Norwood High School with the class of 1946. She had been a resident of Walpole since 1955, moving there from Norwood. Mrs. Foley worked as the shipping manager for the Mar-El Distributors from 1970 until she retired in 1993.

She enjoyed reading and was an active member of the Walpole Senior Center.

Evelyn was the wife of the late James L. Foley. She leaves her children Lynne Thomas of Mansfield and Glenn Foley of Taunton; her six grandchildren; her siblings Lillian Patterson of Wadsworth, Ohio, Irene Steele of Tennessee, Gertrude Bush of Plainville and Alfred Jodoin of Grant, Fla.; and her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Jodoin. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service Wednesday, Sept. 5, at 10 a.m., at James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common St., Walpole. Visiting hours are Tuesday, Sept. 4, 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton. Memorial donations may be made to Walpole Senior Center, c/o Friends of Walpole COA, P.O.
