Paul G. “Zeb” Rich, 65, of Norton and Falmouth, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Dec. 10, 2012. Zeb grew up in Norton and was a 1965 graduate of Norton High School. Zeb was a member of the Norton Democratic Town Committee and was a former member of the Norton School Committee, the Planning Board, the Board of Selectmen, the Tri-Centennial Committee and served as a Town Moderator and as a Norton volunteer firefighter. Robert P. Murphy, 85, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012. He was a resident of Easton for over 33 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion in Easton. Francis "Frank" Gillan, 93, died Saturday, Dec. 8. Frank grew up in Central Falls and lived most of his life in South Attleboro. He worked as a real estate developer for many years on dozens of local projects, including Sandcastle Estates in South Attleboro. He also worked several years as a court officer in Boston. Dorothy E. (Davis) Ward, 83, of Dedham and formerly of West Roxbury, Seekonk and Pawtucket, R.I., passed away Friday, Dec. 7, 2012. Dorothy was a member of the former St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, Pawtucket, R.I. and had also been active in the Rhode Island Heart Association and the Easter Seal Stroke Club. Louise A. (Concannon) Jones of Plainville, formerly of Aton, N.H. and Canton, passed away Dec. 11 at home. Jones was an active member of all the youth sports programs in the Town of Canton and she was a school teacher at the Kennedy, Luce, Hanson and Gridley Elementary Schools in Canton for many years before retiring in 1995.
