Fundraiser to be Held for Family of Norton Girl Killed in Route 24 Rollover

Cheer Nation of Stoughton will be holding an open tumble fundraiser this Friday, July 20 for Angel's family.

A Stoughton cheerleading program will be stepping up this Friday to hold a fundraiser for the family of Angel Pina, the Norton girl who was was killed following a .

Pina, 12, was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. The crash also hospitalized two other Norton women, including Pina's mother, Sandra Ouellette.

Pina recently finished fifth grade at H.A. Yelle Elementary School in Norton, according to a release from the Norton Public Schools. She was scheduled to attend Norton Middle School in September.

She was also a member of Cheer Nation, a cheerleading program based in Stoughton.

"Our hearts are broken for her family and her extended families at Cheer Nation and Cheer Factor, at this very difficult time," a release from Cheer Nation states.

"Angel Pina was a caring, kind hearted member of our junior level 1 team at Cheer Nation. She will be greatly missed. She loved the sport of cheerleading and enjoyed meeting all of the athletes in her new cheer family," Erica Carbonneau, coach of Cheer Nation, wrote in an email.

Pina is remembered as an "Angel on Earth" and as an "Angel in Heaven," a young girl with a "kind heart and passion for all star cheerleading."

Cheer Nation will be holding an open tumble on Friday, July 20 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. where all donations will be presented to the Pina family.

There will be food, drinks, snacks, cheer apparel and bling apparel, custom “Angel” bows, DJ, balloon table and a Stella and Dot Horseshoe Charms table. A dunk tank will also be available.

Raffle items include an Insignia 50 inch television donated by Best Buy, Red Sox tickets, free weekend getaway at the Hyannis Marriott, numerous gift cards and certificats, free oil change,  Maddie Gardner gift basket she personally donated, Fancy Face Cosmetics gift basket, Sonicare toothbrush, All Star Gym gift basket, hammock with a stand and more. There will also be a scratch ticket board and a 50/50 raffle.

All are welcome to this event, which will take place at 378 Page St., Unit 12, in Stoughton. Cheer Factor will also be holding open tumble fundraisers in Foxborough, Taunton and Hanover on the same date. 

A memorial fund has also been established by to assist the family of Angel Pina. Donations can be made at the .
