Patch Grocery Shopping Finds This Week's Deals

Strawberries, cereal, cookies, laundry detergent and chicken highlight this week's deals.

This week, the Patch Grocery Shopper is taking a different route around the local grocery stores looking at the deals each place is offering for the week.

They are offering a deal to buy five packages of meat for $25. Available are boneless chicken breasts, chicken thighs, fresh whole chicken, 85-percent lean ground beef, tender plus pork tenderloins, Plainville ground turkey, "Philly Style" shaved chicken and shaved steak, Roche Bros. Italian sausage, chicken drumsticks, beef sirloin strip steak, boneless pork chops, pork rib eye roast, Mrs. Budd's Chicken Pice, boneless quarter hams and boneless country style ribs.


If you buy one fresh strawberries, 16 ounces, the second one is free. They are also offering fresh beef shoulder, London Broil or roast for $2.99 per pound. If you buy four boxes of Kellogg's Cereals with your Stop & Shop card, you get $6. It has to be in one single transaction. You can also get 10 Knox Sides or Francesco Rinaldi Pasta Sauce for $10.


They are also offering a deal on strawberries with two for $4. Four to six pound package of split chicken breast are going for $1.29 per pound, while you can save $2.80 on boneless New York sirlion steak at $3.99 a pound. They are also offering Keebler Chips Deluxe Cookies, two for $5.


If you buy one Dynamo laudry detergent, you get two for free. Shaw's chicken drumsticks, thighs or a whole chicken is going for 99 cents a pound. They are offering 12-pack Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero or Sprite three for $9. Strawberries are available for $3.49 per pound. YoCrunch Yogurt is available 10 for $6.


They also have a deal on strawberries. If you buy a one pound package of Driscoll's Premium strawberries, you get one free. Big Y milk is two for $5. If you buy one package of Maine lobster cakes, you get the second for free. Big Y Homestyle Bread is 5 for $5, while Starkist Solid White Tuna is five for $5.


They are offering Minutemaid Orange Juice two for $5 and Kellogg Frosted Flakes two for $5. Uno Cheese or Pepperoni pizza, 23 to 25 ounces per package is three for $10. Three for $10 for 12 packs of Pepsi, Pepsi Max, Mountain Dew and Schweppes are available. Progresso Light Soups are four for $5 with 15 select varieties avaiable. Boneless center cut pork chops are on sale for $2.49 per pound.

You can also look up your local grocery store or online website Printapons and find a list of the best deals, and the sites will match sale items with coupons.

Many of us stretch a dollar by clipping coupons or printing coupons from printable coupon websites like Printapons, and when stores double or triple the face value of those coupons, the savings can really add up.
