Community Corner

EYEGLASS COLLECTION

The Norton Community Lions Club has an ongoing eyeglass collection campaign in the community.  The NCLC collects gently used eyeglasses and sunglasses from our community.  The eyeglasses collected can help children and adults throughout the world in developing countries enjoy a better quality of life.  Many will experience corrected vision for the first time.  We have five locations where the glasses can be dropped off all year, The Norton Post Office, The Chartley Post Office, The Norton Town Hall, The Norton Public Library and North Easton Savings Bank located at 172 Mansfield Ave.

With May being Lions Recycle for Sight Month, we are going to have a collection box at our up and coming event.  On Sunday May 6th we are having a Touch a Truck Event at The Yelle Elementary School front parking lot from 10am to 1pm, Admission is $5.00 per adult, $3.00 per child, and children under 2 is free.
