Community Corner

One Bite at a Time…..Organic Farming

Watch us grow!  The seedlings are being planted and
will mature into ripe delicious, mouth-watering vegetables ready to devour at
your summer table. Mass Audubon’s Moose Hill Organic Community Farm is
preparing for the upcoming 2014 growing season; it is the only certified
organic CSA’s in the area. Organic vegetables and fruit really are more
beneficial; they are more nutritious, safer and healthier. Our vegetables and
fruit are harvested at their peak for freshness and flavor, and distributed on
the same day to shareholders. Our shareholders have also rallied to help Moose
Hill reach out to the greater community providing our fresh produce to food
pantries, kitchens and shelters.

Christine Turnbull, director at Mass Audubon’s Moose Hill
Sanctuary in Sharon, has managed this
organic CSA for 8 growing seasons and has
welcomed about 400 families each summer to be part of this amazing harvesting
experience. We all want the best for ourselves and our family. If you have ever
thought about the value of organic and local produce, being a CSA farm member
is a healthy and affordable alternative. Find out more about our farm by
calling Christine at 781-784-5691 or visit massaudubon.org/moosehill.
Watch us grow and plan to become part of this dynamic venture!
