Norton Democratic Town Committee Awards Scholarship for the first time

Barbara Kaplan Chair of the Norton Democratic Town Committee presented a $500 check to Matthew Carlin at Class Night at Norton High School.
In presenting this scholarship, Ms Kaplan cited Matthew’s active involvement in both school and
community activities. Matthew is interested in pursuing a career in public
service.

Susan Hindersman, a long time
resident of Norton and her committee were instrumental in developing the
criteria for this award since this is the first time that the NDTC has given a
scholarship to a graduating senior.
The NDTC meets monthly and is
always open to the public. Currently they are looking for new members. The next
meeting will be on July 25th.
