During the presentation we will discuss all the ins and outs of finding a puppy that’s right for you and how to begin a successful experience once you get the puppy home. Among the topics covered will be picking a breed, where to get a puppy, potty training, use of the crate, diet, dealing with puppy nipping, and skills to teach in the first three weeks. Jane teaches all dogs, whether for basic manners or for high level competition, through strictly positive reinforcement; no fear or pain-based training is used. Jane has been training dogs for obedience competition for the past seventeen years.
